THE EFFECTS OF STATIC AND DYNAMICAL DEFORMATION ON GRAND RESONANCES

  • The effects of static and dynamical deformation on isoscalar GQR and isovector GDR are discussed in the framework of semiclassical approximation with scaling ansatz.Static deformation results in double-peak splitting which is in agreement with experimental evidence, while dynamical deformation destroys all degeneracy between different K(K is the projected angular momentum).

Abstract: The effects of static and dynamical deformation on isoscalar GQR and isovector GDR are discussed in the framework of semiclassical approximation with scaling ansatz.Static deformation results in double-peak splitting which is in agreement with experimental evidence, while dynamical deformation destroys all degeneracy between different K(K is the projected angular momentum).
