THE APPROXIMATE B-S WAVE FUNCTION FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC BOUND STATES CONSISTING OF A FERMION AND AN ANTI-FERMION OF SPIN 1/2

Abstract: The Bethe-Salpeter equation for the electromagnetic bound states consisting of a fermion and an anti-fermion of spin1/2 is solved in the Ladder approximation in this paper.The well-known Balmer series is obtained together with the B-S wave functions,which are relativistic covariant,also have correct analytic properties and satisfy the spectra conditions.The results are applied to the processes η0γ+(e+e-)and η0γ+(μ+μ-).It is shown that the creation,annihilation and transition processes of such relativistic electromagnetic bound states can be calculated conveniently by using the approximate B-S wave functions obtained in this paper.
