An Analytic Study of Self-affine Fractal in Two-Dimensional Phase Space of High Energy Collisions

  • The self-affine α-model in 2-dimensional phase space is discussed in some detail.The analytic expression of the normalized probability moments,C2N and C3N,are deduced for the self-similar analysis of a self-affine fractal object with Hurst index equal to 0.5.The Levy stability indices for both the self-similar and the self-affine analyses of 2-D self-affine model are calculated. The result of Monte Carlo simulation is shown to be consistent with that of analytic calculation.The recent experimental data from NA22 collaboration are explained qualitatively.
