Abstract: The non-unique first-forbidden β decays of 208Tl, 208Pb, and 206-208Hg are calculated in terms of the shell model with different interactions and model space. The calculated log f0t value very sensitively depends on the effective interactions used in diagonalizing the energy matrix. The β decay modes for 206Hg and 208Hg are also compared.
